⚽️U16s Colts away match V Bromleians Youth ⚽️

Colts penultimate game of the season. 11 players plus one substitute today, and this is why our squad is so strong. Every player is a key player, at all times. We started a little scruffy, flirted with disaster here and there at times making it difficult for ourselves. We saw the the first half out with a 0-1 advantage, a great strike from Jamie Mander, pin point low accurate and hard across the keeper.

A few words at half time. Mainly relax and start shifting the ball quicker, switch the play quick, and press when we don’t have the ball.... second half, Colts created several chances to double our advantage before Jamie Mander put us further ahead with a tenacious run, supporting his strike partner Junior, great one twos..0-2....👏🏽👏🏽 Bromleians shape and composure disappeared in the immediate aftermath of our third, a solo run down the left and a precise shot top corner from .... yep Mr Jamie Mander, “take a bow son” Hatrick!

Colts were coasting as expected, The midfield and defence retained great composure, allowing our change to take place, with Givanni Wilson coming on, and boy he had the game of his life today, strong, quick and direct, which paid back with a delightful strike from this patient fella, never moans and takes what ever minutes he can get.... destroyed his opponent and drove at goal curling the ball past their keeper with a great shot... sweet!!

We conceaded a sloppy goal, but the reaction was, “we go again....” Samir Patel popping up in the box to stroke in a lovely cross from Jamie, 1-5 Winners in the end. For me it was the manner in which these young men managed the game out, makes me proud to watch.

We have a week off boys enjoy it. One more win, we secure a top three finish- AMAZING season regardless so far. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 in a tough division.

Have a Happy Easter all.....

A tough result to take this morning but one that was needed to give the boys a reality check. This was our first game in a month due to the weather so I was expecting the boys to be slightly rusty, bu
