Blue Arrows 5 v The Warren Tigers 3

MOTM: Archer GB: Kevin 2 Martin 1 Archer 1 (Penalty) Daniel E 1

Fantastic effort today by the team. Love when more than 3 players score during a game. The boys turned up ready today and what a difference it made. Solid, strong and focused, lots of beautiful passing and keeping the shape most of the time were the keys of today’s great team win. Not having Ben, Aidan and Zac available today was going to be hard, however, every player stepped up and kept fighting till the end. It was hard at times with just one sub, but they never gave up and wanted it that bit more. The Warren are always a tough team to play but we didn’t give them any space and they just could penetrate our strong defence enough. We went down after just 3 mins with an unfortunate goal but kept fighting and got one back after 18 minutes. A tap in by Martin after the keeper spilt the ball. The Warren answered straight away and scored a second in the 21st minute and another in the 25th when we struggled to get the ball out of the box and the ball fell fortunate to the ops players feet for a tap in. After a few B Arrow attackes, and misses, we got a penalty rewarded for handball and Archer converted beautifully. First half 2:3. An even game. With Neev In good form and great decision making. Our game got stronger and stronger, we were taking more risks, kept passing consistently and kept attacking. They didn’t know what was hitting them and 37th Minute a beautiful well fought goal by tiger Dan E. 3:3. The game evened our a bit and both teams had a few chances and the keepers made some great saves. And in the 50th minute Kevin scores a n amazing goal from an impossible angle. 4:3. It was the B Arrows from then on attacking an creating chances 6 minutes before the end, we scored another fantastic team goal, with excellent passing with Kevin converting 4 yards in front of goal with a cool finish. The defence was solid, everybody was tackling and whirlwind Archer was superb on the day winning balls, passing, creating chances and never giving up. The midfield helping out in the back consistently, also added an extra strength and we always seemed to have one extra player on our team. Proud day and all the kids did brilliantly against a very strong opponent. We lost 5:3 against a few months ago. Parents as usual, were a great support Happy Mothers-day T

A tough result to take this morning but one that was needed to give the boys a reality check. This was our first game in a month due to the weather so I was expecting the boys to be slightly rusty, bu
